Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah is part of Prophet Musa's supplication to Allah, where he acknowledges Allah's perfect knowledge and awareness of his and his people's condition. The word 'basir' (بَصِير) means 'All-Seeing' or possessing perfect sight/knowledge, indicating that Allah is fully aware of all circumstances, needs, and conditions of His servants. Ibn Kathir explains this as Musa affirming that since Allah sees all things, He will certainly respond to the du'a and provide the help that is needed.

Revelation Context

This ayah occurs within Surah Ta-Ha during Musa's invocation to Allah after receiving the mission to go to Pharaoh. The context shows Musa's reliance on Allah's perfect knowledge and perception as he prepares for the monumental task ahead. This reflects the broader Quranic theme of seeking Allah's aid through acknowledgment of His attributes.
