Translations
Then would you possibly leave [out] some of what is revealed to you, or is your breast constrained by it because they say, "Why has there not been sent down to him a treasure or come with him an angel?" But you are only a warner. And Allāh is Disposer of all things.

Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah addresses the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), reassuring him that he should not suppress or feel distressed about the revelation he receives out of fear that the disbelievers will demand material wealth (treasure) or visible miracles (an angel) as proof. The verse clarifies that the Prophet's role is solely to be a warner (messenger) who conveys Allah's message, while Allah alone is the guardian and disposer of all affairs. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir emphasize that this verse was revealed to console the Prophet against the emotional burden of rejection and the unreasonable demands of the Meccan polytheists.
Revelation Context
This ayah is part of Surah Hud, a Meccan surah revealed during a period of intense opposition to the Prophet in Mecca. It addresses the psychological and spiritual challenges the Prophet faced when communicating the message to a people who rejected him and made impossible demands. The broader context of Surah Hud discusses various prophets and their struggles with their peoples' disbelief, providing solace and historical perspective to Prophet Muhammad.

Key Lesson
Believers should understand that their responsibility is to convey truth sincerely and with wisdom, not to force acceptance or meet every unreasonable objection. True reliance on Allah means focusing on one's duty while trusting Allah to manage outcomes, rather than being burdened by others' rejection or doubts.
