Al-Jumu'ah · Ayah 1

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ 1

Translations

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allāh, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Transliteration

Yusabbihuu lillahi ma fi as-samawati wa ma fil-ardi al-Maliki al-Quddusi al-Aziazi al-Hakimi

Tafsir (Explanation)

This opening ayah of Surah Al-Jumu'ah proclaims that all creation in the heavens and earth glorifies Allah, the Sovereign King, the Most Holy, the Mighty, and the All-Wise. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari, this verse establishes that glorification (tasbih) of Allah is a universal phenomenon encompassing all of creation, both visible and invisible, emphasizing Allah's supreme majesty and absolute dominion.
