كَىْ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرًا 33

That we may exalt You much
Transliteration
Kay nusabbiḥaka kathīrā
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah is part of Musa's (Moses) supplication to Allah, where he asks for help in glorifying and praising Allah abundantly. The phrase expresses the purpose and desire to engage in continuous tasbih (glorification of Allah's oneness and perfection). According to classical scholars like Al-Tabari and Ibn Kathir, Musa is requesting divine assistance so that he and his people can properly worship and remember Allah frequently, recognizing that the ability to glorify Allah is itself a divine gift.

فَرَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَـٰنَ أَسِفًا ۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ أَلَمْ يَعِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا ۚ أَفَطَالَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْعَهْدُ أَمْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن يَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُم مَّوْعِدِى
So Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved. He said, "O my people, did your Lord not make you a good promise? Then, was the time [of its fulfillment] too long for you, or did you wish that wrath from your Lord descend upon you, so you broke your promise [of obedience] to me?"
وَأَنَا ٱخْتَرْتُكَ فَٱسْتَمِعْ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ
And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].
فَقُلْنَا يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا عَدُوٌّ لَّكَ وَلِزَوْجِكَ فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ فَتَشْقَىٰٓ
So We said, "O Adam, indeed this is an enemy to you and to your wife. Then let him not remove you from Paradise so you would suffer.
