Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah describes a character type condemned in the Quran—one who withholds good from others, transgresses boundaries, and sows doubt and suspicion. Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari interpret these three attributes as marks of a person fundamentally opposed to righteousness: the miser who prevents good (mannaa'), the transgressor who exceeds limits (mu'tadi), and the one who casts doubt on truth (murib).
