وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ 2
Translations
And We removed from you your burden
Transliteration
Wa waḍa'nā 'anka wizraka
Tafsir (Explanation)
Allah addresses the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), stating that He has removed his burden—referring to the weight of his sins and spiritual struggles from his pre-prophethood life. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari interpret this as Allah's merciful removal of all hardship and distress from the Prophet, establishing a relationship of divine relief and favor. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves [i.e., the guilty among you]. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator." Then He accepted your repentance; indeed, He is the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful.
۞ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ
But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.
قَالَ لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖ يَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
He said, "No blame will there be upon you today. May Allāh forgive you; and He is the most merciful of the merciful.
وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُ فِى رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous.
