Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah describes the eternal gardens of Paradise (Jannāt 'Adn) that the righteous will enter, along with their righteous ancestors, spouses, and offspring. Ibn Kathir notes that this demonstrates the mercy of Allah in reuniting families in Paradise based on their faith and righteous deeds, while Al-Qurtubi emphasizes that only those who were righteous (salaha) from one's family will be admitted, establishing that entrance to Paradise depends on individual righteousness rather than mere family lineage. The angels' greeting at every gate symbolizes honor, welcome, and the joy that awaits the inhabitants of Paradise.
