This ayah affirms that the believers and the righteous servants of Allah are indeed victorious and will be aided by Allah against their enemies. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari interpret this as a divine promise of support and triumph for those who follow the truth, even if they face temporary hardship or opposition in this worldly life. The statement serves as reassurance that Allah's help and victory ultimately belong to His faithful servants.
Revelation Context
This ayah appears in Surah As-Saffat, which is a Meccan surah emphasizing monotheism and the certainty of the Day of Judgment. The verse falls within a section discussing the stories of the prophets and their struggles against their peoples, reinforcing the theme that despite opposition faced by the messengers and believers, Allah's promise of victory is guaranteed and unfailing.

The principle reflected here aligns with the hadith: 'Know that victory comes with patience, relief comes with distress, and ease comes with hardship' (Jami' at-Tirmidhi).
