Al-Qasas (The Stories) · Ayah 38

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَأُ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرِى فَأَوْقِدْ لِى يَـٰهَـٰمَـٰنُ عَلَى ٱلطِّينِ فَٱجْعَل لِّى صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّىٓ أَطَّلِعُ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَـٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ 38

And Pharaoh said, "O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O Hāmān, [a fire] upon the clay and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars."

وَقَالَwaqālaAnd Firaun said
فِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnuAnd Firaun said

ٱلْمَلَأُl-mala-uO chiefs
مَاNot
عَلِمْتُʿalim'tuI know
لَكُمlakumfor you

مِّنْminany
إِلَـٰهٍilāhingod
غَيْرِىghayrīother than me
فَأَوْقِدْfa-awqidSo kindle
لِىfor me

يَـٰهَـٰمَـٰنُyāhāmānuO Haman
noun
عَلَىʿalāUpon
ٱلطِّينِl-ṭīnithe clay
فَٱجْعَلfa-ij'ʿaland make
لِّىfor me

صَرْحًۭاṣarḥana lofty tower
لَّعَلِّىٓlaʿallīso that [I]
noun
أَطَّلِعُaṭṭaliʿuI may look
إِلَىٰٓilāat
إِلَـٰهِilāhi(the) God
مُوسَىٰmūsā(of) Musa
noun
وَإِنِّىwa-innīAnd indeed, I
noun
لَأَظُنُّهُۥla-aẓunnuhu[I] think that he
مِنَmina(is) of
ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَl-kādhibīnathe liars
