وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ 8
Translations
But as for one whose scales are light,
Transliteration
Wa-amma man khaffat mawazinuh
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah refers to the person whose good deeds are light (insufficient) when weighed on the Scales of Judgment on the Day of Resurrection. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, this describes those whose righteous actions are outweighed by their sins and shortcomings. And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about Allāh [with] their faces blackened. Is there not in Hell a residence for the arrogant?
فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ
Indeed, it will be but one shout,
