Al-Mutaffifin · Ayah 25

يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ 25

Translations

They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.

Transliteration

Yusqawna min rahiqin makhtum

Tafsir (Explanation)

The inhabitants of Paradise will be given to drink from a sealed wine (rahiq) that is pure and unadulterated, with a sealed vessel signifying its purity and excellence. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi explain that this drink surpasses worldly wine in every way—it causes no intoxication, headache, or illness, and its seal indicates it has been preserved in perfect condition. This ayah emphasizes the supreme quality and blessing of the rewards of the righteous in the afterlife.
