Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah describes how the inhabitants of Paradise will be served with vessels made of silver and cups made of crystal glass. The scholars, including Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, note that the emphasis on crystal-clear vessels suggests both the purity and transparency of the drink being served, as well as the magnificent craftsmanship of Paradise's provisions. The act of being served (yuṭāfu) indicates the honor and comfort bestowed upon the righteous, with servants attending to their every need in complete ease and dignity.
