Transliteration

Wa adkhalnahu fi rahmatina innahu mina as-saliheen

Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah refers to Nuh (Noah), peace be upon him, whom Allah admitted into His mercy and counted among the righteous servants. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari interpret this as Allah's acknowledgment of Nuh's steadfastness, faith, and righteousness despite the rejection and mockery he endured from his people for 950 years. The phrase 'from the righteous ones' (mina as-saliheen) elevates Nuh's station and serves as a testament to the reward awaiting those who remain faithful to Allah's call.

Revelation Context

This ayah appears in the middle section of Surah Al-Anbiya, which comprehensively honors the prophets and righteous servants of Allah. The surah emphasizes the consistency of divine mercy toward the prophets throughout history, and this specific verse celebrates Nuh's inclusion in that legacy of chosen, righteous servants who persevered in conveying Allah's message.
