Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah affirms that the quarreling and disputes among the inhabitants of Hell is an absolute truth. Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari explain that the people of Hell will blame and accuse one another, with each group trying to shift responsibility for their punishment onto others, as mentioned in Surah Al-A'raf (7:38). This mutual recrimination reflects both the justice of Allah's punishment and the desperation of those who rejected faith in this world.
Revelation Context
This ayah appears in the context of Surah Sad's description of the Day of Judgment and the realities of the Hereafter. It comes after the surah discusses the deniers' arguments and their ultimate fate, emphasizing the certainty of divine justice and the inevitable consequences faced by those who rejected Allah's signs.
Related Hadiths
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said regarding the people of Hell: 'The Fire will say: Are you full? And it will say: Is there more?' (Sahih Bukhari 4729). Additionally, there are descriptions in authentic hadiths of the mutual accusations among the deniers on the Day of Judgment, as referenced in Surah Al-A'raf regarding how they will blame their leaders.

Key Lesson
This ayah reminds us that accountability for our choices is absolute and inescapable; in the Hereafter, no one can shift blame or escape responsibility for their actions. We should use this sobering reality to reflect on our choices in this life and turn toward obedience to Allah while we have the opportunity.
