Luqman (Luqman) · Ayah 17

يَـٰبُنَىَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأْمُرْ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱنْهَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَكَ ۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ ٱلْأُمُورِ 17

O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] resolve.

بنيb-n-ynoun

أَقِمِaqimiEstablish

قومq-w-mverb

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalatathe prayer

صلوs-l-wnoun

وَأْمُرْwamurand enjoin

أمرa-m-rverb

بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِbil-maʿrūfi[with] the right

عرف'-r-fnoun

وَٱنْهَwa-in'haand forbid

نهيn-h-yverb
