Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah reassures believers that Allah provides sustenance from unexpected sources for those who fear Him and adopt taqwa (piety). Ibn Kathir emphasizes that tawakkul (reliance) on Allah is both a condition and a means through which He fulfills His promise of provision, and that Allah's decree and wisdom encompasses all matters with perfect precision and timing.

Revelation Context

This ayah appears in the context of Surah At-Talaq, which addresses divorce and the responsibilities of separated couples. The verse reassures women (and all believers) facing uncertainty after divorce that Allah will provide for them if they maintain piety, offering consolation during a difficult social and personal circumstance.

Related Hadiths
