وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ 15

Even if he presents his excuses.

Transliteration

wa-law alqa ma'ādhīrahu

Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah, part of verse 75:15-16, refers to the Day of Judgment when a disbeliever will attempt to make excuses or offer false justifications for their deeds, but these excuses will be of no avail. Classical scholars like Al-Tabari and Ibn Kathir explain that the wealthy disbeliever mentioned in the preceding context will try to present excuses, yet Allah will reject them entirely, as all deeds are known and recorded by Allah before Whom there is no place for deception.
