رَّبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا 9
Translations
[He is] the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as Disposer of [your] affairs.
Transliteration
Rabbu al-mashriqi wa-al-maghrabi la ilaha illa huwafattakhidhu wakilan
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah affirms Allah's lordship over the entire creation—from east to west, symbolizing His dominion over all directions and all of existence—and declares His absolute oneness (tawhid), asserting that none deserves worship except Him alone. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi emphasize that the mention of east and west represents the totality of creation and serves as an invitation to place one's complete trust and reliance (tawakkul) in Allah alone, rejecting all false deities and false sources of support.

That is from what your Lord has revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], of wisdom. And, [O mankind], do not make [as equal] with Allāh another deity, lest you be thrown into Hell, blamed and banished.
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًا ۚ فِطْرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا ۚ لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
So direct your face [i.e., self] toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fiṭrah of Allāh upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allāh. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.
فَذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ ٱلْحَقِّ إِلَّا ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ
For that is Allāh, your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted?
