Al-Baqarah (The Cow) · Ayah 191

وَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَخْرِجُوهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ أَخْرَجُوكُمْ ۚ وَٱلْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ ٱلْقَتْلِ ۚ وَلَا تُقَـٰتِلُوهُمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ حَتَّىٰ يُقَـٰتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ ۖ فَإِن قَـٰتَلُوكُمْ فَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ 191

And kill them [in battle] wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al-Ḥarām until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.

وَٱقْتُلُوهُمْwa-uq'tulūhumAnd kill them
حَيْثُḥaythuwherever
ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْthaqif'tumūhumyou find them
وَأَخْرِجُوهُمwa-akhrijūhumand drive them out
مِّنْminfrom
حَيْثُḥaythuwherever
أَخْرَجُوكُمْ ۚakhrajūkumthey drove you out
وَٱلْفِتْنَةُwal-fit'natuand [the] oppression
أَشَدُّashaddu(is) worse
مِنَminathan
ٱلْقَتْلِ ۚl-qatli[the] killing
وَلَاwalāAnd (do) not
تُقَـٰتِلُوهُمْtuqātilūhumfight them
عِندَʿindanear
ٱلْمَسْجِدِl-masjidiAl-Masjid
ٱلْحَرَامِl-ḥarāmiAl-Haraam
حرمh-r-madjective
حَتَّىٰḥattāuntil
يُقَـٰتِلُوكُمْyuqātilūkumthey fight you
فِيهِ ۖfīhiin it

فَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ ۗfa-uq'tulūhumthen kill them
كَذَٰلِكَkadhālikaSuch
