Al-A'raf (The Heights) · Ayah 48

وَنَادَىٰٓ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالًا يَعْرِفُونَهُم بِسِيمَىٰهُمْ قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ 48

And the companions of the Elevations will call to men [within Hell] whom they recognize by their mark, saying, "Of no avail to you was your gathering and [the fact] that you were arrogant."

وَنَادَىٰٓwanādāAnd (will) call out

نديn-d-yverb

أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(the) companions

صحبs-h-bnoun

ٱلْأَعْرَافِl-aʿrāfi(of) the heights

عرف'-r-fnoun

رِجَالًۭاrijālan(to) men

رجلr-j-lnoun

يَعْرِفُونَهُمyaʿrifūnahumwhom they recognize

عرف'-r-fverb

بِسِيمَىٰهُمْbisīmāhumby their marks

سومs-w-mnoun

قَالُوا۟qālūsaying

أَغْنَىٰaghnā(has) availed
